Set in the heart of the beautiful Dordogne countryside, we specialise in all inclusive activity holidays for adults looking for a fun packed week with a sporting theme. Wining, dining, conversation and laughter all included in the price of your holiday. Group discounts for 'clubs' also available. | |  | | Le Grand Fougueyrat is a converted 18th century barn set in 40 acres of beautiful countryside in the Dordogne region of South West France.We operate our holidays as a 'House Party' where people of like minds can get together for a week of sporting activity and friendly competition with copious amounts of local food and wine thrown in too!We have an outdoor Tennis court and indoor Badminton court/Short Tennis, for when the weather lets us down (which is not very often I am pleased to report!).Not only can you arrange your own Tennis/Badminton tournaments, you may also like to take advantage of our other activities, all included in the price of your stay, and some of which would cost you a fortune to partake in back home! These include Clay Pigeon shooting, .22 Rifle shooting, Boules, skittles, Table Tennis, cycling, private fishing and golf practice, not to mention an after dinner sing song or quiz. All of our 10 bedrooms are ensuite, one with wheelchair access/facilities, and 8 of them open out onto our unique 19 metre figure of 8 swimming pool and patio area.After a day's hard activity you can relax with a glass of something cool in the jacuzzi, or select a book from our collection and settle down to a good read.Our weeks run from Tuesday to Tuesday to accomodate cheaper flights into Bergerac airport and free transfers to and from the airport are also provided by your host, Tony. Generally, we operate a 'kids free zone' in the selfish pursuit of peace and pleasure for us older kids! However, we do offer a couple of weeks each year where families with children are welcome. We look forward to seeing you soon. |  | St. Julien is situated just 15 minutes from Bergerac Airport, where flights are available from Birmingham, Bristol, Stansted and Southamton. The pretty little market towns of Eymet and Issigeac have traditional French markets on Thursdays and Sundays respectively. Excellent shopping can also be found in Bergerac, whilst places of historical beauty, such as Beynac, Salat and Dome, are due East of us, along the beautiful Dordogne river. Heading West, you come to the famous wine producing region of Bordeaux, again providing great shopping, and a little further along, the reknowned vineyards of St. Emillion. To the North, lies the idyllically situated town of Brantome and most weeks, weather permitting, we canoe down the Dordoyne and picnic oposite the picturesque village of Roque Gageac, where the little houses are built into the rocks. All in all this area is a great base for exploring the Dordogne region with an abundance of interesting places to visit and things to do.
